A LITTLE ABOUT US

The Easirider Company was formed in 1971 by Peter Robinson.
Peter had been travelling through Europe and had discovered the superb comfort that sheepskin offers as an upholstery material. On his return to the UK he found it impossible to buy sheepskin seat covers locally so he set about finding a suitable tannery and persuading them to prepare a few sheepskins so that he could make his own.

Soon, friends and neighbours and their friends and neighbours started to ask where they could buy them. Before long business reached a point where Peter decided to leave his job and set up a dedicated company specialising in sheepskin for the car. In 1976 Charles Afford and Christine Fisher joined Easirider and they along with Peter still form the back-bone of the company

Easirider manufactures real sheepskin seat covers and luxury floor over rugs for all car makes and models whether RH or LHD. We have supplied owners of such prestigious cars as Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes-Benz & Maybach for over thirty years

Over the years we have extended our skills into other areas

In the early 1980's we won a contract to supply a leading manufacturer of aviation crew seating with sheepskin - pilots sit on sheepskin.
We currently supply seat manufacturers, airlines, specialist trimmers and private owners in this demanding marketplace.

in the '90's we started making the "Sherpa" house boot (after all Northampton has a strong shoe making tradition) which combines the legendary softness and warmth of real sheepskin uppers and insoles with a tough, lightweight micro cellular outdoor wedge sole. More recently we have started to create a range of footwear which uses AQUALAMB© ~ a revolutionary waterproof sheepskin which has been developed in the UK.

As specialists working in Real Sheepskin we are often commissioned to make designer rugs, upholster chairs, design and to manufacture more unusual items like huge bean beds. If it can be made in sheepskin, we probably make it or have made it.

With the advent of the internet Easirider has developed it's own virtual sheepskin shop to market our own products
and other items made by UK specialist sheepskin manufacturers over the world wide web
