A recent order for a Vanden Plas Princess 1300 from the Far East caused a minor panic when we realised that the pattern we thought we had was for a Princess R which a much different car.
After much trawling of the internet we came to realise this car was now very rare as we were unable to locate a car to measure.
As a last resort we contacted the Vanden Plas Owners Club hoping they may be able to help and they came up trumps. A swift reply from them indicated they would ask members and we were promptly contacted by Mr & Mrs W who kindly agreed to let us measure their car.
Their Damask Red car trimmed in Royal Blue was a fine example and we are pleased to say that the Princess 1300 is now in our library of template.
